"Bare Metal Image" backups are scheduled nightly for the yourtraining.net application including the SQL database that contains the training records. However, there are times when such backups cannot be performed on schedule. Only one training record has been lost in several years of operation, and it was easily restored. However, it would be prudent to gain additional protection against the possibility of data loss. This can be achieved simply by encouraging students to print out their individual training record immediately after successfully completing a test. The hard copy can then be kept with their training records as a hedge against any data restoration problems following a catastrophic failure of the SQL server.
